Assignment Feb.4

The assignment for this week is

• Finish online task for Lesson 7 & 8 (Most of them should have been finished in class.)
• Finish the first Extra challenge for Lesson 7
• Finish the second Extra challenge for lession 7 is optional

All the tasks in Lesson 8 are free building projects, that students can build drawing by themselves. There is no standard correct answer, but students are expected to follow the guidelines to create their own product.

Please encourage your kids to share their product to you by just sending a message to your phone. Enjoy and celebrate their success!

Assignment Jan.28

• Complete all the online tasks for Lesson 6.

The task 15, 16 and 17 could be quite tricky. Do spend some time to figure it out what is the best way (algorithm) to solve the puzzle. Don’t click “Finish” botton unless your code draws exactly the same picture required. Don’t move too fast, revisit your code even it works, find out if there is a bettter way to make it shorter.

Students who is moving faster can start working on Lesson 7, which is about nested loop.

From Lesson 6, We have the first difficult thing to learn, which is called loop. Students usually have difficulties to identify the repeatable part.

Assignment

• Complete first two challenges in Lesson Extras for lesson 4.
• Try to continue debugging the third challenge, but not necessary to complete it. We will debug it together at next class. This one is quite difficult.
• The last challege is super hard! I don’t recommend doing it now.
